the coronavirus made me buy a new barbecue.

I was scheduled to be out on the road now, or very close to it. I figured I'd no longer needed my backyard furniture and barbecue. So I sold them. now that the virus has everything on lockdown I might be stuck at home a little longer, and with no barbecue. This video is the story of how I was forced into buying a new barbecue by that damn virus!

Dr. Karona V. Fever

Dr. Karona V Fever is the name I have given to the Coronavirus. I wrote this song due to the fact that the timing of the virus scare couldn't be any worse for me as I was just about to get the ball rolling to go on my Backroads Brent Cross Country journey.

Waiting on the Bright Side

I challenged myself to write and record a song using only MIDI. "Waiting on the Bright Side" is the result. A gentle easy listening instrumental created with my keyboard and Mixcraft program. Waiting on the bright side is waiting for the virus scare to end and the bright life to begin again. Waiting for the Backroads Brent journey to begin!

I was Born, I Lived and I Died

Its the spring of 2020, the world is shut down due to Coronavirus. My departure of the Backroads Brent journey has been delayed so in the meantime during self-isolation I've been creating videos and recording original music. "I was Born, I Lived and I Died" is a little ditty I came up with in 1983. The first half of this video is 2020, the second half takes us back 37 years! You will see the original performance of this song. It sums up everybody's life in eight short words!

Message from the Boss. April 9th, 2020.

Due to the Coronavirus the Backroads Brent cross country van tour has been delayed. For how long, who knows? Until things get back to normal. In the meantime Brent will continue to write and record original music. And do other stuff.

Just One Time Too Many Times

I know this isn't a traveling song but the virus scare spring of 2020 had postponed travel; so I wrote and recorded this song after I received a phone call from a certain you-know-who ... a ghost from the past. Too easy to start all that again... To hard to stop. "This tale has no ending if beginning ain't born."
